What is DSCC?

The Decent Sampler Community Collection (DSCC) is a growing database of Decent Sampler libraries curated from various platforms. This collection serves as a resource where users can easily find libraries, explore sound demos, and access download links.

Each library in the collection is assigned a DSCC-ID, which will be listed under the corresponding videos on Instagram and YouTube in the future. This unique ID makes it easy to find specific libraries quickly.

How to Use the DSCC Search

By default, all filters are enabled. To search for a specific category, deactivate the other unnecessary filters.

The DSCC search allows you to look up libraries using different filters:

Example tags: Piano, Synth, Synthesizer

Overview Layout

  1. Search Bar - Enter search keywords here.
  2. Filter Options - Located below or next to the search bar, these allow you to refine your search. If no filter is selected, all categories will be searched.
  3. Sorting Dropdown - Choose how results are sorted (e.g., alphabetically, by creator, or by newest entries).
  4. ReadMe Button - Opens this document.
  5. Reset Filters Button - Resets the entire page to its default state, clearing all search inputs and filters.
  6. Content - Overview of the libraries in a card layout.

Card Layout

After extensive testing and some feedback, we decided on a card layout because it is the most user friendly and visually appealing option.

  1. Screenshot of the Decent Sampler Library - A preview image of the library.
  2. DSCC ID - A unique identifier for the Decent Sampler Community Collection, displayed subtly in the bottom-left corner of the library’s screenshot.
  3. Name of the Decent Sampler Library
  4. Creator name - The person, company or group who created and shared this library.
  5. Hashtags for the library - Tags that help categorize and improve searchability also give users additional information.
  6. Details button - Click to view more information about the library, including download options and links to sound examples.
(Clicking the card also take you to the details page.)
