| More Information | Icescapes is a sound-designed collection featuring atmospheric leads, ambient synths, textural soundscapes, and snow and ice sound effects, inspired by the sounds of winter.
The wintery pond instruments were created by skipping stones, ice chunks, and pebbles across a frozen pond in a Rocky Mountain canyon, capturing the unique flexural wave phenomenon that produces sci-fi-like resonances. Additional ice and snow instruments were recorded using ice block impacts, slides, and foley from footsteps in deep snow. The sound effects can be used creatively as percussion elements or for sound design, while the collection also includes many playable, ambient pads and evolving drones. |
